A unit can have one trait at a time. Spend one Trait Reroll at Mandra to reroll it; the wiki lists four traits with pity: Monarch, Ethereal, Deadeye and Solar.
Published rare-trait rates and pity
The tier list recommends Monarch or Marksman on Apathetic Savior (Door). That is a build note, not a promise you will roll Monarch. Rerolls from grinding cannot be traded. Only Robux-shop rerolls can.

What is the best trait?
The tier list tags an optimal trait per unit. Monarch or Marksman is the tag on the current number-one unit. It is not universal.
How do I get trait rerolls fast?
See the farming page: challenges pay 1, 3, and 20, and shops exchange tokens or rift shards.
