Key of Babylon Item
Checked 2026-10-14 · Update 15.0
The inactive Key of Babylon starts the Gilgamesh quest. Kiro can drop it with a ten-takedown pity, then the quest requires 50,000 Gold and four boss encounters.
Inactive key to active key
The quest page describes the key as the post-limited-time route for Gilgamesh when a player already holds the item. It does not promise a currently open Kiro event beyond the documented quest rule.
- Defeat Kiro; the inactive key has a chance to drop, with pity at 10 Kiro takedowns.
- Select the inactive key and offer 50,000 Gold.
- Defeat Heracles, Lilia and Archer.
- Defeat Gilgamesh to awaken the active key.
Two different Key of Babylon entries
The item is an evolution quest key. Module:FamiliarData also has a Vanguard familiar named Key of Babylon for Gilgamesh (King of Heroes), with its own damage, Slow and Stun effects. These are separate inventory entities and should not be merged into one acquisition guide.
Source review: 14 October 2026. The inactive item quest is separated from the Key of Babylon Vanguard familiar with the same display name.
